Bio

This verse came from the grave marker of a relative who died in 1900 in Warrenton, MO.

"Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God" - Matthew 5:8

My FAG activities are primarily with the Mitchell, Waller, Wells, Cox and Wilson families and their relatives.

Here is a poem from the Remembrance Card of David Waller Mitchell, my great grandfather who died on October 12, 1909.

He served as a Private in the Confederate Army from Pittsylvania County, VA and survived Pickett's Charge during the Battle of Gettysburg in PA.

A precious one from us has gone,
A voice we loved is stilled;
A place is vacant in our home,
Which never can be filled.
God in his wisdom has recalled,
The boon his love had given,
And though the body slumbers here,
The soul is safe in heaven.

*******
James Wilson (1742 - 1798) FAG 1682 was the brother of my maternal 3rd gg grandfather William James Wilson.

James Wilson was one of the Founding Fathers of the United States and a signatory of the United States Declaration of Independence and the United States Constitution. Wilson was elected twice to the Continental Congress, where he represented Pennsylvania, and was a major force in drafting the United States Constitution. A leading legal theorist, he was one of the six original justices appointed by George Washington to the Supreme Court of the United States.

James Wilson is buried in the Christ Episcopal Church and Churchyard Cemetery in Philadephia, PA.
