Bio
I've had a passion for genealogy for over 35 years. A passion that began with my grandmother. She passed on a wealth of information to me about her family - and it fascinated me. I research near daily and am proud to say that I have researched more than 41,000 people who connect to my family in some way, shape, or form.
As a Find A Grave member, I am not a collector of names/graves. I enter names for those I have a genealogical connection (family, distant family, and VERY distant family members), when I visit a cemetery, or if I come by a particularly obituary that touches my heart. From time to time I may transcribe a cemetery, but generally those are upon request only.
I am a firm believer that how we treat those who died before us speaks volumes for how we treat those that are still living.
I willingly will transfer memorials to other if: a) they are within FAG guidelines (4 generation rule) or b) is a reasonable reason (good friend, cousin, in-law, etc). I am very reasonable - just ask. I will not transfer if you are researching a group (veterans for example) in a cemetery. There needs to be some sort of connection to you family or friend wise.
