Bio

I live near Dock's Creek, Maple Hill and Hillcrest Cemeteries in Wayne County, WV. Although I have no family buried in any of them, I have temporarily "adopted" these cemeteries to assist others in their Find A Grave searches. I consider this to be a small way to "give back" to the FAG community of volunteers who help others, including myself, to locate long lost graves. I believe volunteering in this endeavor is a way to honor our deceased ancestors.

On many of my memorials I made a note that a photograph can be provided upon request. The reason for this is to inform a researcher that there is a marker on the grave. When a request is made, I will eventually post a photo of the marker if the one in my files is not suitable to post. Sometimes I can post photos immediately, and sometimes it might be a couple weeks or more before I can get the job done, so please be patient. I ALWAYS flag my photo requests and get to them as time permits. :-)

I have no reason to continue managing memorials of persons who are not my own relatives, so I will happily transfer memorials to family members of the deceased, so they can be updated with correct information. Please do not hesitate to ask for a transfer if you have info to add or links to create. Recreating these family bonds via "links" online is way of recognizing the family ties of those who have gone before us and connecting us to our own history. I love being a part of that.
