Bio

Family genealogy is something I have enjoyed since I was young. As I walk through cemeteries visiting family graves, I often wonder about the history of each individual.

I live in Barre, Vermont, home to a large granite industry. One website devoted to Barre granite says, "It has been estimated that one-third of the public and private monuments and mausoleums in America -- and they are millions in number -- are products of the Barre quarries and Barre's "international" community of sculptors, artisans, mechanics and laborers."

Perhaps this is why I have an affinity for cemeteries and graves. The artists here make the stones and memorials into works of art. I am happy to share some of them on this website.

I will gladly make most requested edits to memorials. Please use the Suggest Edits button to send them. If it is something for the person's bio, feel free to send an email with details. The only edits I will not make are links to memorials with Burial Unknown. This site is intended to record burials or final disposition of the person, not to be a family tree placeholder.

For transfers, I follow the Find a Grave guidelines. Please just send the request and your relationship. For transfers outside of Find a Grave guidelines, I am still happy to transfer memorials to more distant family members if the memorial is not also one of my relatives.
