Daniel Putnam inherited his father's Danvers and Middleton property. He was a deacon in the North Church at Danvers, and marched to Lexington upon the Alarm, as lieutenant in the company of Capt. Samuel Flint. In 1777, he was on the Committee of Correspondence.
