John G. Kuches, 80, 17 Rice St., died at 2:25 p.m. Saturday at Columbia-Mercy Medical Center in Canton.

Mr. Kuches was born Sept. 18, 1915, in Foster, Pa., to John and Magdalen Sedlachek Kuches, and moved to Alliance from Cleveland 22 years ago. He was retired from Guciardo's Restaurant in Warrensville Heights where he was employed as the manager.

A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, Mr. Kuches was a member of Disabled American Veterans Chapter 50.

He is survived by his wife, Angela Jane (Sarchione) whom he married Feb. 16, 1952; a daughter, Marlene Kyler of Cleveland; three sisters, Mary Vova of Walton Hills, Magdalen Staif of Twinsbrug and Irene Zito of Macedonia; four brothers, Joseph of Seven Hills, Adam and Anthony, both of Brooksville, and Paul of Cleveland; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Kuches was preceded in death by a sister, Anna Cerny.
