A notice of death appears in the "Press Telegram" published from Long Beach, California. On page 20 of the Thursday, July 3, 1958 the notice indicates that Dr. Wilbert Christian of 5438 Walkerton St. [presumably Long Beach] will be buried. His survivors included his wife, Elsie Fay Gish; children: Wilber Charles Gish, Mrs. Cora L. Anderson, and Mrs. Dorothy L. [Gibson] Myers, and his brother Charles A. Gish. Dr. Wilber was the grandfather of five children. Services would be on Thursday and Reverend W. I. Lowe officiated. The notice does not give the name of the cemetery. It does let readers know that Mottell's and Peek Chapel at 3rd and Alamitos was handling arrangements.
