Gail E. Hofman, 72, lifetime resident of Lapeer, died Saturday, November 10, 2012. Gail was born July 26, 1940 in Goodrich to Harold and Onalee (Townsend) Kingsbury. She married John R. Hofman on November 24, 1964 in Dryden.
Mrs. Hofman was a farmer her whole life, she farmed with her parents then her husband. They owned and operated Hofman Peat Company, Imlay City, for years. Gail also enjoyed gardening and was a real cat lover. She will be dearly missed by her family.
Gail is survived by her husband of nearly 48 years: John R. Hofman, children: Anne (Bill) Mull of Oxford, Mark Hofman of Romeo, and Sandra (Dave) Kingston of Saline, grandchildren: Katie, William, Caroline, Bradley and great-grandson: Trevor. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be 2-5pm Monday and 2-6pm Tuesday. A funeral service 2:00pm Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at Muir Brothers Funeral Home, Lapeer, officiated by Rev. Robert Lilley. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Lapeer.
