Hilda Nielsen, 96, Western, died Sunday, Jan. 2, 2005, at Gardenside Nursing Home in Fairbury. She was born April 10, 1908, at Tobias.
Survivors: daughters, Ruth Stanley of Lincoln, Irene Shore and husband Carl of Wilber, Doris Hoover and husband Del of Temple, Texas, Lola Dean of Irving, Texas; son, Donald Nielsen and wife Janice of Western; 13 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; sister, Mollie Achterberg of Deshler; brother, Herman Endorf and wife Roberta of Waverly; brother-in-law, Kurt Paas of Tucson, Ariz.; nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Caroline (Schoenbeck) Endorf; husband, Herbert Nielsen; brothers, Carl, Herbert and Gerald; granddaughter, Kimberly Ann Shore; one great-grandson.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 6, Zion Lutheran Church, Tobias, Pastor Keith Burk officiating. Burial: church cemetery. Memorials to family choice. Gerdes-Meyer Funeral Home, Fairbury, in charge of arrangements.
