Raymond Frederick Wylie of Pocasset and Marshfield died Nov. 12, 2012, at the age of 87. He was the husband of Betty Jean Wylie. Born May 15, 1925, in Lowell, he was the son of the late Raymond L. and Ellen Jane Wylie. He graduated from Lowell High School in 1943 and served in the U.S. Navy as a Radioman First Class from March 1943 to February 1946. From 1949 to 1983, he was an insurance executive with Kemper Insurance. Ray taught Sunday school at the Weymouth Heights Congregational Church, was a member of the Masons and was a Rotarian since 1987. He was also very active in the North Falmouth Congregational Church. Besides his wife, he leaves his son, Thomas R. Wylie and his wife Delian D. Wylie of Hingham; and two grandsons, Gregory and Daniel Wylie. His sister, Ilene (Wylie) Vinal, preceded him in death. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012, at the North Falmouth Congregational Church, followed by a reception at the church. Burial will be at 1:30 p.m. at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne. All are welcome.
