Loyd M. Bolden, 81, of Big Cove passed away Monday morning after a short illness.
He was preceded in death by his father, Sam Bolden, and mother, Rachel Winkles Bolden.
Survivors include his wife, Martha; son, Mike (Kathy) Bolden of Big Cove; granddaughters, Stephanie (Lee) Schultz of Big Cove and Amanda (Kevin) Henley of Trinity; four great-grandchildren, Sydney and Emma Schultz and Austin and Luke Henley; brother, Monroe Bolden; sister, Sue Acardo; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at New Hope Funeral Home, www.nhfh.net. A graveside service will follow at Green Valley Cemetery at 1 p.m. with Bro. Steve Parker officiating.
