William C. Backman, 78, died Friday (Sept 8, 1972) in a Reedsburg hospital after a brief illness. He was a retired Loganville area farmer. He married the former Anna Schultz in 1923. He was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church. Surviving are his wife; and a brother, Reinhart, Rolla, Mo. The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Monday in the church. Friends may call after 9 a.m. Sunday at the Gant Funeral Home.
