Isaiah was in Wood County in 1850 and living with the Smith family: Mary Mixter Smith (1801)(Pennsylvania the widow of Daniel Smith and her children: Eliza (1820 , John (1822), and Catherine 1832) born in Pennsylvania, and George W. (1837) Mary H. (1840), and Emily (1841) born in Ohio. He married Mary's daughter: widowed Sarah Jane Smith Dennis on 19 December 1864 in Wood County. They had a daughter Catherine Minerva (1866). In 1870, Isaiah and Sarah were in Troy Township with her children: Mary, Marinda, William, Nellie, Franklin, and their daughter , Catherine who also has the last name Dennis. In 1880, Sarah Jane was living in Troy Township with her son William Dennis and her daughter, Catherine Minerva Chamberlain while Isaiah is living with another farmer in the same Township. Isaiah and Sarah both give their status as widowed but are probably separated or divorcd. Isaiah's stone was ordered by the American Legion in 1938.
