Before her marriage she was the principal of a two-room schoolhouse in Western Oklahoma. She remained at heart a teacher who inspired others through her example all her life.
She was a devoted mother of ten children; dear mother-in-law; a loving grandmother of 37, great-grandmother of 75, and great-great grandmother of 30; a dear sister, sister-in-law, aunt, cousin and friend.
Known for her hospitality and generous spirit, she nurtured many more than just family. With a cheerful smile, she welcomed all those who knew her.
She is survived by one sister, Ruth Clopine of Phoenix, Arizona.
