Mrs. Basil Whitaker of Akron
Leaves Husband And
Seven Children

Following an illness of six months from a serious internal malady Mrs. Whitaker, 32, wife of Basil Whitaker,of Akron, died at her home Saturday night. Her death followed within a few days the death of her father, Howard McCorkell, who died Wednesday. Mrs. Whitaker leaves seven little children without a mother's care. One child preceded her in death February 18.

Sybil Lodene McCorkell lived all her life in Akron. She was born there May 14, 1906, grew up and was married to Basil Whitaker [April 24, 1927]. Besides her husband and children she leaves to mourn her loss her mother, one brother and seven sisters.

The funeral services were held Monday morning at the Baptist church in Akron, the pastor. Rev. Leslie G. Williams, officiating, and interment was made in the Riverside cemetery in Akron.

V. F. Rossow, funeral director, had charge of the arrangements.
