Mae R. Kroll, age 87, passed away on Thursday, November 15, 2012. She was born in Oshkosh on August 7, 1925 the daughter of the late George and Rose (Koeck) Hannes. On January 8, 1944 she married Walter Kroll in Oshkosh. Mae was a proud and loving homemaker. She was a member and former president of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary, Ladies Aquinas Club, Patriotic Council, Woman's Auxiliary to the M.O.C. (Cooties), and the Disabled American Veteran's Commanders Club. Mae will be remembered for being a very generous and positive person, a wonderful cook, always seeing the good in people, and her beautiful smile. Her ability to be a "professional conversationalist" will be missed.

Mae is survived by her children: Wally (Linda) Kroll of Waupaca, Cindy (Ernie) Anthes of Plover, Debbie (Larry) Gauger of Twin Falls, Idaho and Keith Kroll of Plainfield; grandchildren: David (Sarah), Sheila (Jay), Mark (Collette), Brad, Michael, Brian (Jenny), Dawn, Tracy, Larry, Tammy (Jeromy), Tanya and Jeremy; and great-grandchildren: Brett, Abby, Dakota, Justine, McKensie, Lars, Jacob, Dominic, Nathan, Kyle, Daniel, Victoria, Jessica, Larry, Ajay, Brittany, Samantha, Bryce, Mary Helen, Jaiden, Savannah, Jerred, Isabel, and Gavin. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter; brothers: Robert (Mary) and Walter (Mary) Hannes; and dear friend, Paul Myers.

The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, November 19, 2012 at Most Blessed Sacrament Parish, St. Peters Site, 435 High Ave., Oshkosh, with Rev. Jim Jugenheimer officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. and at church on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Oshkosh
