Funeral Rites Conducted At Shiloh Sunday For Joe Wiley Bevels, 64 --

Funeral services for Joe Wiley Bevels, 64, were held at 3:30 Sunday afternoon at the Shiloh Methodist Church, with the Rev. James Underwood and the Rev. Henry Cortner officiating. Burial was in the Shiloh Cemetery.

Mr. Bevels died about 11 o'clock last Friday morning in the Lincoln County Hospital after suffering a heart attack a short time earlier.

He was a native of Lincoln County, a son of the late Eliphus Green and Ida Jane Harrison Bevels. He was a member of the Dellrose Methodist Church and a Veteran of World War I.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Viola Holt Bevels; three daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Partin of Alconbury, England, Mrs. Marie Harmening of Lawton, Okla., and Mrs. Thanna Marshall of Blanche; two sons, Joe D. Bevels of Fayetteville and Paul Bevels of Blanche; four sisters, Mrs. Cora Armstrong and Mrs. Miriam Gatlin, both of Fayetteville, Mrs. Nettie Jackson of McBurg, and Mrs. Bessie Braden of Nashville; and four granddaughters.
