Michael J. Daley, father of Mayor Richard J. Daley died in Columbus Memorial Hospital where he had been hospitalized after suffering a heart attack at home last week. Mr. Daley was a retired sheet metal worker and a Chicago resident all his life.
He was the dearly beloved husband of the late Lillian Dunne Daley; devoted father of Richard J.; dear father-in-law of Eleanor; loving grandfather of Sister Mary Richardelle, R.S.M., Mary Carol, Eleanor, Richard M., Michael, John, and William; fond brother of Martin, Albert, Sister Mary Laurian, Margaret Curry, and Anne Daley. Interment Holy Sepulchre.
