Hazel L. Kidny, 69-year-old Avon resident, died, October 28, in the Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis, following an extended illness. A native of the Danville community, she was born, Jan. 8, 1900, the daughter of the late Elbert and Amanda Moberley Landreth. She was graduated from Lizton High School and Central Business College in Indianapolis. She moved to the Avon community in 1954 from Indianapolis where she and her late husband, Vernon C. Kidny, owned and operated the Winmore Dry Cleaning business on Massachusetts Avenue. She was a member of the Senior Citizens Club there, and the Avon United Methodist Church.
Funeral services were Saturday morning from the Weaver Funeral Home, Danville, with the Rev. Roy Laudermilk and Rev. Teal Younce officiating. Burial was in the Lizton K. of P. Cemetery.
A brother, Russell Landreth, Indianapolis, is the only survivor. Her husband preceded her in May 1959.
