If Hester Bowen is his mother, then he was no older than 41 when he died. If Katharin was his mother, then he was no older than 53. In his will, however, he calls Esther his "mother". Unless he is using this term loosely, it would seem that Esther is his mother, and he was therefore born after 1687.
