Former Minden Girl, Widow Texas Governor, Buried Last Tuesday
Mrs. Alice Murrell Colquitt, widow of the late Gov. O. B. Colquitt, who was a native of Minden, La., but moved to Texas in 1884, died recently at Arlington, Pa., was buried Tuesday at Austin, Texas, where she and her husband resided at the Texas mansion during his gubernatorial administration 40-odd years ago.
Mrs. Colquitt, who lived in Dallas after her husband finished his term as governor, but made visits to a daughter, Mrs. Mary A. Laubach, of Marion, Pa. Her other surviving child is a son, Sidney B. Colquitt. At the time of her death Mrs Colquitt was 83.
