Martha Bryant Cobb was the second spouse of Capt. David Cobb. She and David and her parents and families were the first anglo pioneers in the Big Cove area of Madison County, Alabama. They settled by the Flint River where David built a grist mill which he operated for many years. She and David are buried in Cobb Cemetery, the family burial ground on their land.
