Peggy L. Glassley, 83, died suddenly at 4:34 a.m. Sunday, December 02, 2012 at Parkview Whitley Hospital, Columbia City. She was born in Whitley County, IN on September 6, 1929 the daughter of Leland and Mildred (Jackson) Rouch.
Mrs. Glassley spent most of her childhood in Noble County and graduated from Albion High School. She moved to South Whitley in 1958 and married Phil L. Glassley on October 13, 1973 in Angola, IN. They moved to Tri-Lakes in 1980 and resided there until moving into Columbia City in 1998. She served for many years as the secretary for the South Whitley United Methodist Church and Bechtold Water Conditioning, retiring in 2000 from Coldwell Banker Real Estate. She was a member of the Columbia City United Methodist Church, Duo Decem, Eastern Star Lodge and the Whitley County Mental Health Association.

She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Phil L. Glassley, Columbia City; 2 daughters, Rebecca Vaughn, Indianapolis and Kathy (David) Reeg, Charleston, SC; 1 son, David (Sandy) Rex, Kettering, OH; 2 step children, Mark Glassley, Fort Wayne and Margo (Greg) Goss, South Whitley; 12 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and 1 sister, Patricia (Dudley) Slater, Columbia City. She is preceded in death by her parents, Leland Rouch and Mildred Rouch-Green, 1 sister, Joyce Breuner and 1 half sister, Judy.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 5, 2012 from 10-3:00 p.m. with funeral service immediately following at 3:00 p.m. both held at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City. Pastor David Arnold will be officiating. Burial will follow at South Whitley Cemetery, South Whitley. Memorial donations may be given in Mrs. Glassley's memory to Columbia City United Methodist Church Building Fund or to the Whitley County Humane Shelter. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
