Bernice Middleton Stewart died Saturday, December 1, 2012. She was the wife of the late Ashton Langue Stewart and was a resident of St. James Place. She was born in 1926 in Fort Leavenworth, Kansas and grew up in Baton Rouge. She was predeceased by her parents General Troy Houston Middleton and Jerusha Collins Middleton, and her brother Troy Houston Middleton, Junior. She is survived by her two children, Bingham Middleton Stewart and wife Cindy; and Jerusha (Judy) Stewart Farris and her husband Will; and four grandchildren, Katherine (Katie) Ernst Robinson, Houston Stewart Ernst, Ashton Collins Stewart and Hayes Cushman Stewart; and one great-grandchild, Charlotte Collins Robinson. She was a graduate of Baton Rouge High School and LSU. Graveside services for family will be held at Roselawn Mausoleum on Tuesday, December 4, 2012. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the National WWII Museum in New Orleans or the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank..
