Mrs. Frank C. Walker of the Caryle Hotel, New York City, Wednesday notified Mrs. Thomas J Walker of Butte of the death Tuesday in Greenwich, Conn,, of Mrs. John McCarthy, the former Pet Walker of Butte, their sister-in-law.

Last rites will be conducted Friday from the Eastman Funeral Service, 896 Beacon St., Boston. Mrs. McCarthy was a Boston resident,

Mrs. McCarthy was a Boston resident, She was born in Butte, daughter of David and Ellen Comerford Walker. She was educated in St. Patrick School here and Manhattanville College of the Sacred Heart, Purchase, New York.

She was a sister of the late Thomas J. Walker, who after leaving Butte became judge of the United States Customs Court in New York City; the late Frank C. Walker, New York-Pennsylvania theater magnate who was postmaster general in the cabinet of President Franklin D. Roosevelt; Mrs. John W. Cotter, the former Kalherine T. Walker; Mrs. Clyde Graves, the former Mary Walker, and Mrs. John C. Gaul, the former Nell Walker.

Surviving relatives are the two sisters-in-law and several nephews and nieces.
