Services for Victor M. Stodt, Sr., 69, of 2216 Racine, who died in Burlington Medical Center Sunday, November 11 (1979), will be held at Lunning Chapel at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Fr. Louis Mulligan officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove cemetery.

He was born June 5, 1910 at West Burlington, the son of Frank and Elsie Schultke Stodt. He married Elizabeth May Marshall May 18, 1938, at West Burlington. He was employed at the Burlington Northern Railroad shops for 49 years, retiring in 1975.

He was a member of St. Mary church, the Railroad Veterans, and the Firemen and Oilers Union.

Surviving: The wife; three sons, William Stodt Ryan, Denver, Colorado, Joseph Stodt, Iowa City, and Victor Martin Stodt, Jr., Burlington; three daughters, Elizabeth McGriff, Burlington, Cecelia Timmerman, Ft. Madison, and Alice Lafferty of North Carolina; his mother, Elsie Stodt, West Burlington Route 4; two brothers, Paul and Leo Stodt of West Burlington; two sisters, Bernice McCoy, Hampton, and Crystal Stoykovich, Lynnwood, California; and 19 grandchildren.
