Richard J. Stodt, 89, former Burlington resident, died at noon Thursday (May 5, 1960) in his home in Waterloo.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Locke funeral Home, Waterloo. Following services the body will be brought to Burlington where committal services will be held at 4:30 p.m. Saturday in Aspen Grove cemetery. The Prugh funeral home has charge of local arrangements.
Stodt was a retired tool fitter for the John Deere Company, Burlington, and was a member of the Masonic order.
He was born January 17, 1891, in Burlington, the son of Joseph and Amalia Rotter Stodt, and was married July 15, 1927, at Moline, Illinois, to Mary Bland.
Surviving are his wife; a son, William of Moline; and three sisters, Mrs. Regina Mohler, Mrs. Rose Instead and Mrs. Ann Huppenbauer, all of Burlington; and several nieces and nephews.
