She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. James Watts of Monroe and Mrs. F. M. Rushing of Columbia, La.; three sons, A. O. Oliphant and W. R. Oliphant of Harrisonburg and E. B. Blackman.

She appeared in the 1880 US census (Catahoula Parish, LA) as Linda Oliphant, wife of Frank Oliphant, with 5 living children. In the 1930 US Census (Ouachita Parish, LA), she appeared as Malinda Blackmon, age 77.
