PRINCETON-Grady Higginbotham, 90, of Route 9, box 65, Pisgah Road, Princeton, died Tuesday, May 28, 1996, in a Princeton hospital.
Born in Mercer County, he was the son of the late Andy and Dosha Hazelwood Higginbotham. He was a retired car inspector for the Virginian Railroad and the Norfolk and Western Railroad in Elmore, W.Va. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Railroad Carmen. He also was a member of the Pisgah United Methodist Church in Princeton. He was preceded in death by his wife, Alta Wanda Clark Higginbotham; one son, David Clark Higginbotham; two brothers, Earl Higginbotham and Dewey Higginbotham, and four sisters, Media Duncan, Murrell Duncan, Leora Higginbotham, and Iva Mae Higginbotham.
Surviving: two sons, Kenneth G. Higginbotham and Robert G. "Bobby" Higginbotham, both of Princeton; one daughter, Shelia D. Hearn of Princeton.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at the George W. Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton with the Revs. Blair Wallace and Mark Deeter officiating. Burial will follow in Resthaven Park Cemetery in Princeton.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. today.
Pallbearers will be: R9odney Hearn, Michael Hearn, Robbie Higginbotham, David Higginbotham, Hugh Gooch, and Bob Southern.
