Joseph Gaffke was the son of Anthony Martin Gaffke and Mary Konke. He was the father of Clemense, Joseph John "Uncle Babe," Dorothy and Lorraine Gaffke. He did not have a headstone and his two daughters, Dorothy and Lorraine, purchased it from Raubar Granite Company on April 20, 1987 and it was delivered on May 19, 1987. It has the Sacred Heart of Jesus on the right side of it. It is 24 x 12 x 4 and Elberton Gray. Joseph died from blood poisoning at an early age from an accident at work. He was married to Mary Zalewski on January 12, 1915.
