She was born October 20, 1927 in Anderson to Verlie and Katherine Perry and was a lifelong resident of this area.

Betty was a homemaker.

She is survived by her children, David Hilligoss & wife, Janna, Diana Hilligoss and Amy Bond; brother, Marion Perry; sister-in-law, Jean Perry; three grandchildren, April Hoover, Robert Hilligoss & Katherine "Katie" Hilligoss; two great grandchildren, Conner Hoover & Baylee Hoover; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Hilligoss in 1985; brother, Robert Perry, and a sister, Barbara Jayne.

Services will be Wednesday, September 17, 2008 at 1:00 PM, at Robert D. Loose Funeral Home, South Chapel, 200 W. 53rd St., Anderson, with Rev. Jerry Hilligoss officiating.
