Sept 11 1939 The Patriot

FULTON, Sept.11 Mrs. Emma Elizabeth Whitcomb, 76, widow of the late James Whitcomb, died at 4 o'clock Sunday morning at the family home, after an illness of four weeks. Mrs. Whitcomb was the daughter of the late Carlon E. and Elizabeth Young Cook of the town of Granby. She had always lived in Fulton and vicinity. Mrs. Whitcomb was member of the Little Utica Methodist church. Survivors include three daughters, Miss Ethel Whitcomb of Syracuse, Mrs. Ovid Ware and Miss Mae Whitcomb, both of Fulton; two sisters, Mrs. D. S. Stewart of the town of Granby and Mrs. Addison Hudson of Baldwinsville; a brother, Herbert J . Cook of Little Utica. Funeral services will be held from the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ware, West River road, south, Wednesday afternoon. The Rev ViVier will officiate. Burial will be in Jacksonville cemetery.
