Mr. Jack P. Miller, age 84 of Spring Lake, passed away Saturday, December 22, 2012 at his home in Fort Meyers, FL. Jack was born September 5, 1928 to Francis and Pearl (Doherty) Miller in Grand Rapids, MI. He married the former Catherine Redmond on October 15, 1955. She preceded him in death on May 8, 2002. Jack then married the former Margie Leatherman on October 25, 2002. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and proudly served his country during the Korean War. Jack worked as a sales representative for GE for 32 years before retiring in 1988. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. Jack loved to camp and travel in his motor home. He also enjoyed golfing, bowling, boating and playing cards. Jack is survived by his loving wife, Margie; son, Craig (Carla) Miller of Rosamond, CA; daughters-in-law, Mary Miller of Grand Rapids; Karen Leatherman of Grand Haven; 8 grandchildren;1 great grandchild; 3 step-grandchildren and 2 step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Phillip Miller in 1993. The Mass of Christian Burial for Jack will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 29, 2012 at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Father Tony Vainavicz officiating. Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends are invited to greet the family 1 hour prior to the service at the church.
