Mr. Gurney was a native of South Dakota. Five years ago he came to Putnam
County, to engage in the nursery business here. Surviving are a son, Edgar A.
Gurney of Bostwick; and four daughters, Mrs. John Sullivan of Chicago, Mrs.
Randolph Schul of Yankton, S.C., Mrs. Forest Wieble and Mrs. David Patterson of
