She was born Feb. 15, 1924 in Elwood, the daughter of Mervle E. and Eva M. (Boyer) Groover.
She was a homemaker most of her life and also worked at Ex-Cello Corporation in Elwood for nine years.
Ethelda attended Elwood High School and later married Wilbur H. "Delco" Rieman June 20, 1942.
She was a 50-year member of the Order of Eastern Star.
She formerly enjoyed traveling, camping and boating with her husband and family. Ethelda also liked to make floral crafts and work with ceramics.
Her family includes a son, Michael L. (wife Donna) Rieman of Oak Grove, Mo.; a sister, Claribell Groover of Elwood; daughter-in-law, Michelen Rieman of Brownsburg; three granddaughters, Rae (husband Ben) Braughton of Greenwood, Randi (husband Roger) Rieman-Johns of Browns-burg and Lesley (husband Charles) Johnston of Oak Grove, Mo.; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Wilber H. Rieman who died Sept. 10, 1991; a son, Ronald Rieman; three sisters, Mary Tumulty, Genevieve "Jenny" Simmons and Bertha Dowler; and a brother, William "Bill" Groover.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013 at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home with Dr. Woody Noblitt of New Beginnings Fellowship Church in Elwood officiating Burial will follow in the Elwood City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m Wednesday prior to the funeral service.
The funeral service will begin with an Order of Eastern Star memorial.
Memorial contributions may be made to New Beginnings Fellowship Church through the funeral home.
