Edna (Holt) Alexander Calhoun died at St. Joseph Hospital after a short illness. She was 64 years old.
She was a retired teacher. She taught in the city and county school systems for 40 years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
She was survived by her husband, Arthur Calhoun (married April 8, 1972); her stepdaughter, Trudy Randall of Somerset, Kentucky; her brothers, Delvin Holt, Varna Holt, Roy Holt, and Russell Holt, all of Somerset, Kentucky; her sister, Katherine Hamm of Somerset, Kentucky; and one grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Holt and Merta Lee (Farmer) Holt; her first husband, William Alexander; and her daughter, Jean K. Alexander.
Funeral services were held at the First United Methodist Church with Reverend Thomas Adams, Reverend Thomas Ditto, and Reverend Ralph Wesley officiating.
