Mrs. Bertha Alice Hartley, aged 71, of Mooreland Pike, Losantville, died Thursday afternoon at her home after an extended illness. She was born in Ohio, but had spent most of her life in Delaware and Henry counties.
She was the widow of John Edgar Hartley, a native of Henry County, Indiana. Mrs. Hartley was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Marcella Ritchie (husband Harold) of Henry County, Indiana; a son, Loren G. Hartley of Anderson, Indiana; two brothers, James McCormick (wife Ina) of Yorktown, Indiana, and Elmer McCormick (wife Beryl) of Florida; two sisters, Miss Blanche McCormick and Miss Martha McCormick, both of Muncie; and six grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Meeks Mortuary after 4 p.m. Friday. Services will be held there at 2 p.m. Saturday with Elder Theodore Fischer. Burial will be in Elm Ridge Cemetery.
