Betty Jean Stewart, 80, of Wiseman Rd., Morgantown died Saturday, September 27, 2008 at Mapleshire Nursing and Rehab. She was born August 5, 1928 in Morgantown, a daughter of the late Elza Eugene and Bertha Elizabeth Guseman Hawkins. Betty had been employed in the housecleaning dept. at the WVU Towers and had been a nurse's aide at the former University Hospital. She was a member of the Flaggy Meadow CEO's and loved crafts and sewing. She was Methodist by faith. She is survived by three daughters and spouses, Barbara L. and Jack Stillwagon of Smithfield, PA, Shirley A. and Rick Nicholson of Morgantown, and Diana L. and Bill Buck of Morgantown; four sons, William G. Stewart and spouse Judy, Daniel L. Stewart and spouse Beverly, Donald R. Stewart, and Robert F. Stewart and spouse Laina, all of Morgantown; a sister Anna Lee Ezerski of Fairmont; four brothers, Raymond, Perry, Frank, and Roger Hawkins, all of Morgantown; twelve grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, William R. Stewart, and her twin brother, Louis Hawkins. Friends may call at the McCulla Funeral Home from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday. Services will be held at the McCulla Funeral Home at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, October 1, 2008 with Rev. Betty McBee officiating. Burial will follow at the Beverly Hills Cemetery.
