Catherine "Kate" Mehetabel (Kidder) Strobridge was the daughter of Rev. Dr. Daniel Parish and Harriette (Smith) Kidder. She was the 1st wife of Rev. Dr. George Egerton Strobridge. They were married in 1866. Rev. Strobridge was a minister in the Rock River Conference/Kentucky Conference, Western New York Conference/New York Conference and New York East Conference of the Methodist Episcopal Church. He died March 16, 1910. In 1875-1876 while living in Buffalo, New York, Catherine was 1st vice president of the Western New York Conference Ladies' and Pastor's Union.
