At the residence of Mrs. Lizzie Coon, near Farina, Ill., Jan. 2, 1894, Mrs. Louisa S. Green, widow of the late Oliver Green.

She was a daughter of Dea. Asa and Sarah Coon, deceased, and a niece of the late Eld. Stillman Coon. She was born in Berlin, N. Y., Dec. 25, 1828. Her first church membership was with the Seventh-day Baptist Church of Berlin. She was married to Oliver Green, of Adams, N. Y., and resided in that town until 1862, when she moved with her husband to Tama county, Iowa. Her husband died in 1879. For several years she has had her home with her sister-in-law, Mrs. Lizzie Coon, near Farina. In 1892 she united with the Farina Church, of which she was a worthy member at the time of her death.

Her funeral was held at the church, conducted by the pastor, and attended by a large congregation. She leaves one son, the only surviving member of the family.
