SALEM - Pelagia "Ping" Adarne Almero of Salem, OR, a World War II veteran widow, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, December 29, 2012 at the age of 93.

Born in Alang Alang, Leyte in the Philippines.
She met her husband, Pio "Pete" Almero during the war while he was in Leyte and was married on December 30, 1945 for 52 years before his passing.
