Ernest "Red" Anderson, of McKinney, Texas, passed away December 30, 2012 at the age of 88. He was born August 15, 1924, in Independence, Kansas, to Ernest and Leora (Calhoun) Anderson. On June 26, 1955, Red married Mary Ann Rushing, in Denison, Texas. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during World War II.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Mary Ann Anderson of McKinney, Texas; daughters, Pam Lawson and husband Danny of Princeton, Texas, Gloria Mays and husband Chuck of Allen, Texas; grandchildren, Kristi Alexander and husband Chance of Melissa, Texas, Tyler Lawson of Austin, Texas, Christopher Grimes of Allen, Texas, Christopher Mays of Millersport, Ohio, Paris Mays of Allen, Texas and Luke Mays of Allen, Texas; great-grandson, Austin Alexander of Melissa, Texas; sister, Virginia Hallman of Northport, Alabama; brother, Howard Anderson of Geneva, Alabama; sister-in-law, Margie Anderson of Fayette, Alabama; many loving nieces, nephews and other loving family members and friends.
Red is preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Leora Anderson, nephew, Andy Anderson and brother, Clarence "Bluie" Anderson.
