Mrs. Clora E. Quire 77, widow of Floyd Quire, formerly of W. Adams Street, died Saturday morning at Boulevard Temple Methodist Nursing Home in Detroit MI following an extended illness.

Clora was born in Madison County IN, and lived in Yorktown until shortly following her marriage when she moved to Muncie. She worked for many years at S.S. Kresge Co., and prior to leaving Muncie, at the Delaware Hotel. She was a past member of Post 19 American Legion Auxiliary.

Surviving were two sons, Billy E. Quire, Anderson IN and Kenneth H. Quire, Southgate MI; a daughter, Mrs. Margaret Plumb, Monroe MI; two sisters, Mrs. Harriette Flynn, River Rouge MI, and Mrs. Bertha Chrisman, Glendora CA; a brother, Harry Worrel, Orange County CA; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at M. L. Meeks and Sons mortuary. The Rev. William Gillum, pastor of Main Street United Methodist Church, officiated. Interment was in Elm Ridge Cemetery.

Friends called at the mortuary after 2 p.m. Monday.
