Alda Saunders passed away Dec. 1, 2012. Alda was born in Seneca, Kan. in 1925. She was the middle of six children. Alda was married to her husband, Herb, for over 50 years. Herb passed away just three months ago. Alda was a wonderful wife and mother to two girls, Pam, who is 48 and lives in Temecula, Calif., and Karen who is 46 and lives in Sparks. Alda also has three grandchildren, Conor (15), Kylie (14) and Brandon (13). Before moving to Las Vegas in 1964, Alda and Herb lived in Tucson, Ariz., where Alda worked for 10 years as a cashier for Safeway. Alda lived in Las Vegas for 48 years and loved being a stay-at-home mom and grandma. She was loved by family, friends and neighbors for her friendliness and love of life. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Monday, Dec. 17, in the chapel of Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
