Juanita Rotkovich Principata was one of the children born to Samuel Rotkovich and Venera Josephine Seminara.

She was united in marriage to Joseph E. Principata in approx. 1972. This was the second marriage for both Juanita and Joe. There were no children born during their marriage.

Juanita was left a widow when Joe passed away in 1979 and she never re-married.

Principata, Juanita 72, passed away at 12:30 am Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at University Health Care in Edwardsville. She was born on February 6, 1940 in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Samuel and Josephine (Seminara) Rotkovich. She married Joseph Principata and he preceded her in death. Juanita worked at Sam's in Naperville for 15 years, demonstrating food products. She was of the Catholic faith. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Bruce and Diana Meeks of Ellerslie, MD and Tim and Julie Meeks of Bethalto; seven grandchildren and their spouses, Brittany and Scott Pettyjohn, Tiffany and Jodie Meeks, Amanda and Todd Brantley, David Meeks, Michael Meeks and Naval AWO2 Second Class Petty Officer Brandon and Megan Meeks; five great-grandchildren, Mason Meeks, Raylynn Meeks, Noah Meeks, Sam Brantley and Kayla Brantley; a brother and sister-in-law, Cutis and Mary Beth Rotkovich of Oaklawn, IL; a sister and brother-in-law, Debbie and Frank Schmidt of Tinley Park, IL; a sister-in-law, Rose Rotkovich of Beloit, Wisconsin and her nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Brenda Lee Meeks and a brother, Robert Rotkovich. Visitation will be from 1 pm until services at 5 pm on Sunday, December 16, 2012 at O'Neil Funeral Home, 1105 E. 9th Street, Lockport, IL, 60441 with Deacon Joe Stalcup officiating. Inurnment at St Mary's Cemetery in Evergreen Park, IL. Memorials may be made to Whitelaw Avenue Baptist Church in Wood River, IL or the Community Hope Center in Cottage Hills, IL.
