MONROE HALVERSON

Monroe Halverson, 66, of route 2 Neenah, a resident of Manitowoc county until five years ago, died Tuesday in Neenah after a years illness.

He was born in 1883 in Manitowoc Rapids and resided in this county until 1944 when he moved to Menasha and later moved to Neenah.

He was a member of the St. Timothy English Lutheran church at Menasha.

Survivors are his wife, Sophie, four daughters, Mrs. Ebby Berg of Menasha, Mrs. Allen White of Pullman, Wash., Mrs. Claire Hagadorn of Battle Creek, Mich., and Mrs. Lyle Gorder of Madison; two sons, Chester of Neenah and Gordon of Ames, Iowa; four brothers, Herman of Shawano, Oscar and Arthur of route 4, Manitowoc, and Stanley of Oshkosh; two sisters, Mrs. C.E. Smith of Chicago and Mrs. Elmer Cegeilski of Manitowoc; and 11 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at the Gjerpen Evangelical Lutheran church on highway 151 at 2 p.m. Saturday. The body may be viewed at the Valley Funeral home in Appleton from 7 p.m. Friday until 11 a.m. Saturday when it will be moved to the church. Friends may pay their respects there from 1:30 to 2 p.m.
