Emily Ann Cook of Newport, NH died January 30, 2009 at Valley Regional Hospital.

She was born on March 12, 1938 in Unity, NH the daughter of Levi M. and Hazel (Burke) Nelson and has resided in Cornish for 30 years and Claremont for 20 years and recently Newport.

She was a graduate of Windsor High School the class of 1956 and worked for Valley Regional Hospital in the kitchen as a cook for over eighteen years.

Emily was an amazing woman. She enjoyed cooking, crafts, and sewing.

She had a love for butterflies and was very giving to others. She took special pride in her family and friends. Emily was a woman full of fun, laughter and most of all love. She will be greatly missed and never forgotten.

She was predeceased by a long time companion Ross Lurvey, a sister Eunice Hall and a Brother in law Jeff Rogers.

The family includes two daughters Katherine Dennis and Samantha Cook both of Claremont. One brother Melvin of Springfield, NH. Two sister Betty Errington of Ascutney, VT and Sharon Rogers of Claremont.

Six grandchildren Angela Gibson, Amber Gibson, Draven Dennis, Eric "Button" Simino, Alissa Simino and Emily Cook. Also several nieces and nephews.

Graveside committal services will be held May 4th in the Moulton Cemetery in Plainfield, NH.
