Thomas J "Tom" Coffey was born on December 9, 1943 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of James Thomas Coffey (1911-1963) and Mary (Gallagher) Coffey (1912-1995).
He graduated from Mount Carmel High School and studied at Loyola University. He served in the US Army Reserves and worked as a telecommunications specialist with many companies.
Tom was 68 years old when he passed away on March 2, 2012 at Saint Patrick's Residence, Naperville.
Preceded in death by his parents and by his brother William Coffey, he is survived by two brothers and a sister-in-law; a married niece; two married nephews; and a number of grandnieces and grandnephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Saint Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Naperville, and burial was in Saint Mary Cemetery, Evergreen Park.
