British Royalty. Born the third daughter and sixth child of King Charles I and Henrietta Maria's nine children at St. James's Palace, London. Apparently a precocious child, she was a favorite of the family. She contracted tubuculosis in infancy, however, succumbing a few month prior to her fourth birthday, plunging her family into mourning. One of her attendants reported that she was able to say a short psalm on her deathbed; "Consider andhear me, O Lord, my God: lighten mine eyes, lest I sleep the sleep ofdeath. " She was interred at Westminster Abbey beside her infant brother.
