James A. Carnahan, age 66, late of Lockport, IL, passed away October 23, 2006 at his late residence. Jim was born in Joliet, living in Lockport for many years. He was retired from Citgo Refinery in 1977 and "D" Construction in 2005. He was past president of Lockport Little League and was a manager of Little League and Colt League for 11 years; a former member and program director for American Society of Safety Engineers; former Chairperson and member of Lockport Old Canal Days Committee and member of Lockport Zoning Board of Appeals.
He was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Margaret (Purcel) Carnahan. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen (Martin), three sons, Daniel (Amy) of Winslow, IN; Michael of New York, NY and Douglas of San Diego, CA; three granddaughters; a brother Charles of Florida, his twin sister Judy (Michael) Mooney of Indianapolis, IN and a sister, Kathleen (Alastair) Whyte of London, England.
Jim's family will greet relatives and friends at St. Dennis Church in Lockport. Inurnment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Joliet, IL. O'Neil Funeral Home, Lockport, IL in charge of arrangements.
